The world is turning into shit. But does it have to? Are fascism, apathy and despair our only alternatives? There is a reason why i choose to post this exactly here.
I’ve been self-hosting a few social networks, clouds and other services over the years. Running your own stuff is great, but unless you have the server space, bandwith, backup rig and time to be a reliable host for your friends it can get a bit lonely scrolling through SSH logs late at night. So why not join a collective of like-minded people instead, to promote and support real alternatives that almost* anyone can use?
